More information for succesful daffodil growing:

1. Feed the soil with bonemeal a week before you plant. If your soil is heavy add in some horticultural grit

2. Use either a bulb planter, or dig a hole about twice as wide as the bulb and twice as deep; 10cm wide and about 15cm deep

3. Place about an inch (2-3cm) of grit in the bottom of the hole so the bulb sits level. Place the bulb onto the grit making sure the bulb is the right way up (pointy end pointing upwards)

4. Space the bulbs about 4 inches (10cm) apart

5. Gently replace the soil around the bulb and firm down. You can add a little coarse sand if your soil is heavy

6. Make sure the area doesn't dry out or become waterlogged
